Ainė Ramonaitė
Ainė Ramonaitė is a Doctor of social sciences, senior lecturer at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science. Her research interests are civil society, political culture, political parties and participation, and party systems.
The author was born in 1976 in Vilnius. In 1998, she received a Bachelor’s degree in political science and in 2000, a Master’s degree in comparative politics from the Institute of International Relations and Political Science in Vilnius. From 1996 to 1997, she studied in the faculty of social sciences at Helsinki University. In 2005, she defended her thesis for a Doctorate of Social Sciences.
Ainė Ramonaitė is the author of ten scientific articles, co-author of the book, Neatrasta galia: Lietuvos pilietinės visuomenės žemėlapis (Undiscovered power: the Map of the Civil Society in Lithuania). Also she coordinates the forum of Lithuanian social sciences and is a member of the Lithuanian Association of Political Scientists and a member of the editorial staff of the magazines, Politology and The Lithuanian Political Science Yearbook.
In 2007, the publishing house “Versus aureus” published the book of Ainė Ramonaitė, Posovietinės Lietuvos politinė anatomija (The Political Anatomy of Post-Soviet Lithuania).
