Algirdas Degutis
Dr. Algirdas Degutis is a senior research fellow at the Culture, Philosophy and Art Institute. He wrote the monographs Kalba, mąstymas ir tikrovė (Language, thinking and reality, 1984) and Individualizmas ir visuomeninė tvarka (Individualism and social order, 1998) and has published more than fifty articles on the themes of analytical and political philosophy. He’s translated into Lithuanian fundamental works of classical and modern liberalism, among them the works by John Locke, Friedrich von Hayek, Ludwig von Mises, Milton Friedman, and Robert Nozick. Dr. A. Degutis has significantly contributed to the spread of the free market ideas in Lithuania.
In 2007, the publishing house “Versus aureus” published A. Degutis’ selection of articles on the themes of analytical philosophy, Kalba, Pažinimas ir Veiksmas (Language, Cognition and Action).
