Anthony Horowitz
Author and scriptwriter Anthony Horowitz was born in 1956, in London.
At the age of eight he asked for a typewriter and wrote his first book ten years later, after graduating from the University of York. To date he has published about 20 children’s books. The book series “Alex Rider” – about a 14-year old super-spy, has become a bestseller. Published in more than 20 countries, these books have won more than a few prizes, among them the Red House Children's Book Award. The author also writes scripts for movies, TV films and plays. His TV dramas “Foyle's War” and “Midsomer Murders” were nominated for the BAFTA award. Currently, A. Horowitz is working on a new book series “The Power of Five”, which was inspired by the wish to write something like “Lord of the Rings” but set in the real world.
In 2004, the publishing house “Versus aureus” published A. Horowitz’s adventure novel “The Devil and His Boy” (Velnias ir jo berniukas).
