Audronė Bliujienė
Audronė Bliujienė was born in 1954, in Kaunas and studied at the seventh secondary school in Šalčiai. From 1972 to 1977, she studied in the History faculty at Vilnius University. In 1997, she defended her Doctoral thesis on VIII-IX a. kuršių moterų papuošalų ornamentika (Curonian women’s ornamental decorations in VIII-IX c.). In 1999, based on her dissertation, she published the monograph, Vikingų epochos kuršių papuošalų ornamentika (The Curonian ornamental decorations in the Vikings era). She is also the author and co-author of many scientific articles. Currently, her main area of scientific interests is Balts’ culture and their social, economic and cultural context in the Baltic Sea region.
In 2007, the publishing house “Versus aureus” published the book of A. Bujienė, Lietuvos priešistorės gintara (Lithuanian Prehistoric amber).
