Doctor of Social Sciences Daiva Kristina Kuzmickaitė is the docent at the Institute of Political Sciences and Diplomacy at Vytautas Magnum University. She is the Associate Editor of the publication Oikos: Lietuvių diasporos ir migracijos studijos (Oikos: the studies of the Lithuanian diaspora and migration).

In 2003, the publishing house “Versus aureus” published the ethnographic study of D. K. Kuzmickaitė, “Between two worlds: recent Lithuanian immigrants in Chicago 1988-2000” (in English).
