Teacher’s expert Irena Arlauskienė was born on October 1st, 1942, in Šilutė district, Jurgaičiai village.

I. Arlauskienė is currently working at the Šilutė 1st gymnasium. She has prepared many students for contests, actively participates in the activities of the H. Zuderman club, heads the school museum of regional studies, guides excursions, nurtures the Pamarys region’s history and charms and teaches the youth to delve into the past of their native land.

Besides the methodical work, I. Arlauskienė also organises republican seminars, assemblies and lectures as well as edits books.

In 2005, the publishing house “Versus aureus” published I. Arlauskienė’s set of everyday experience advice essays, Antai tebeeina (It keeps going).
