Tracy Chevalier
Tracy Chevalier was born in 1962 in Washington, D.C.
In 1984, she moved to London, and for a few years she worked as the reference book editor. In 1994, she earned a Master’s degree in creative writing from the University of East Anglia. In 1997, her first book “The Virgin Blue” was published. A year later she published the historical novel “The Girl with the Pearl Earring” that became a bestseller. After this success she wrote two more novels – “Falling Angels” and “The Lady and the Unicorn” where the author’s imagination also refers to historical facts and personalities.
In 2006, the publishing house "Versus aureus” published the novel by Tracy Chevalier Dama su vienaragiu (The Lady and the Unicorn) and in 2007 – a novel worthy of the name of high literature – Skaistusis mėlis (The Virgin Blue).
In 2006, the author visited the Vilnius Book Fair.
