Dr Žygintas Pečiulis is a docent at the Institute of journalism in the communications faculty of Vilnius University. He lectures on TV theory, TV critics, TV journalism and holds courses on effective communication at Vilnius and Klaipėda Universities and at the Lithuanian Music Academy. He is also a public office consultant and consults the Lithuanian and foreign non-governmental organizations on the questions of public relations.

He has written the books TV dramaturgija (TV dramaturgy, 1993), Videoteatras (Video theatre, 1994), Televizija: istorija, teorija, technologija, žurnalistika (Television: history, theory, technology, journalism, 1997) and Televizijos žurnalistika (Television journalism, 2002). L. Pečiulis worked on probation at universities in Switzerland and France.

In 2004, the publishing house “Versus aureus” published a study of Ž. Pečiulis, Efektyvi komunikacija (Effective communication), and in 2007 – Iki ir po televizijos (Before and after television).
