Literature excites aesthetic feelings. They, in turn, are a kind of introduction to real experiences and problems. While reading a thrilling piece of literature a man learns how to live. Thus, the civic duty of the writer is very significant and solemn.

“Our seashore now is like a second home to me. The fishermen know this, as I know them well. They became or will become the characters of my stories and plays. The truth is there are a lot of fishermen, their wives and children. And our acquaintance is not fleeting: I’ve had time to find that the life and work of fishermen is difficult and not at all romantic”.
