A Poet and translator; a researcher of literature and art; a linguist and theorist of typography, Robert Bringhurst (born in 1946) grew up in both Canada, (Alberta and British Columbia), and the United States (Montana, Utah, and Wyoming). He also lived in the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. He is one of the most famous and respected Canadian poets. Since 1974, the poet has published 17 selections of poetry and won many awards.
