Deep fictional insight into the dramatic transformations of Lithuania before and after the Restoration of Independence in 1990. The old system has fallen apart, the new one has not been created yet, the people are confused. New businessmen and stubborn idealists are trying to build their lives according to their own systems of value. The author places her characters under the reading-glass and allows us to see all the ugly sides of their existence.
