A Doctor of Humanitarian Sciences, professor Alvydas Jokubaitis was born in 1959. Since 1996, he has worked in the Institute of International Relations and Political Science (IIRPS). He is a member Vilnius University’s Senate and Science Committee. He is a member of the magazine “Politology’s” editorial staff. Also, he is an academic tutor at the Open Society College and a member of Vilnius University’s IIRPS Council. In 2002, he was chosen the best lecturer of the IIRPS.

Scientifics interests are: political philosophy and theory.
