Literary historian Dalia Kuizinienė is a docent in the Department of Lithuanian literature at Vytautas Magnum University and a senior research fellow in the Lithuanian Emigration Institute. After studying at Vilnius University, she worked at the Maironis Lithuanian Literature museum in Kaunas. She started lecturing at Vytautas Magnum University following the University’s restoration. Later, she started her Doctoral studies and worked on probation in the Department of Lithuanian studies at Illinois University in Chicago. In 1999, she defended her Doctoral thesis.
Areas of scientific interests of Dr D. Kuizienė: the history of literature and culture of Lithuanian emigration and the theory and practice of literature criticism. On these themes, the author published nearly one hundred articles in both the Lithuanian and foreign press. In 2003, she published the study Lietuvių literatūrinis gyvenimas Vakarų Europoje 1945 – 1950 metais (Lithuanian literary life in West Europe in 1945 – 1950 – the publishing house “Versus aureus”).
