Kazuo Inamori was born in 1932 in Kagoshima, Japan.

In 1955, K. Inamori graduated from Kagoshima University and later received honorary Doctorates from several universities in the USA, Great Britain and Japan. At age 27, he established Kyocera Corporation, which has grown into a multinational high-tech conglomerate employing over 30,000 people.

In 1984, he founded DDI Corporation (currently called KDDI) - Japan's second largest telecommunications network. In 1948, he established The Inamori Foundation and international Kyoto Prizes that honor significant contributors to humanity in the fields of Advanced Technology, Basic Sciences, Arts and Philosophy.

K. Inamori is the author of the books “Passion for success” and “For people and for profit” where he describes the philosophy of his life and work.

In 2006, the publishing house “Versus aureus“published the book by K. Inamori, Gyvenimo filosofija (The Philosophy of life).
