Political scientist Mindaugas Černiauskas was born on June 30, 1982, in Varėna. In 2000, after graduating from Merkinė V. Krėvė secondary school, he entered into the Institute of International Relations and Political Science at Vilnius University. In 2005, he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. Since November 2005, he has worked as a senior expert at the Department of Cultural Heritage: Alytus territorial subdivision.

M. Černiauskas speaks fluent French and Russian, understands English, German and Polish. He appreciates active leisure, is fond of sports (especially football) and plays chess.

In 2006, the publishing house „Versus aureus“ published A. Černiauskas study, Europos tautų nacionaliniai himnai (The National Hymns of European Nations).
